A Pleasant Farewell

Dear Members,
 

I would like to formally send you all, my farewell from the position of Base Vice President representing all Swoop Cabin Crew members under CUPE4070. This has taken some time as I have been in FLOW training and also dealing with the death of my father. It has been a tumultuous journey the last few weeks to say the least, for that I apologize. However, I would like to say, that my journey as the first Base VP, took me to many levels, from professional, psychological, emotional and personal. I have had the honor of meeting many fabulous fellow members across all paths from both sides. Thank you for making me part of your life, it was an honor and privilege. My journey will continue within CUPE, as a National Trial Panelist, and a member of the National Pink Triangle committee, to which I encourage all of you become part of the many committees across CUPE National. As I begin my new venture with WestJet Mainline, I hope to cross paths with many of you, perhaps over a coffee or simple ‘hi’.

For those of you that I have not had the opportunity to meet, you are in great hands of your new leadership, for those who I have met, I appreciate and thank you. I have full confidence with the new Base VP Sherrie for Swoop, and our new President Alia for CUPE4070, she has been the wind of change that was needed and will be an exemplary leader for CUPE4070.

Keep supporting each other, and keep Solidarity alive.
