July Sched Delay - SRC Update

Dear Members,  

On August 5, 2022, Alia Hussain, CUPE 4070 Vice-President, and Sarah Ferraro, CUPE 4070 WS Scheduling Review Committee Chair, met with the Employer to hear the policy grievance for late release of July schedules (WS-POL-2022-005).  
 

It was evident in the grievance hearing that the Employer is not fully aware of how late schedule release impacts Cabin Personnel. Some examples were provided, but the Union would like to provide more examples to the Employer to aid in seeking a mutually agreed upon resolution to the grievance.

Please elaborate on any personal stress, impacts on managing personal responsibilities such as family and childcare, missed events, loss of hours due to needing to self-manage, if you required use a personal day, or any other effects delayed schedule release may have had.  

Please be assured that while the form asks for personal details, you will not be identified should you wish to remain anonymous. We intend to bring forward the specifics of these impacts.
